We are an aspiring game design and publishing company. We believe games are a unique medium to highlight key socioeconomic challenges. Our goal is to create fun and thematically immersive experiences that facilitate discussions and promote solution oriented thinking.

Meet the founders

Shyam Rangarajan

FOUNDER
Shyam has always been terrible at other sports, but board games were the one area where he was able to steal the occasional win, much to his friends' chagrin. He co-founded Vilayat to help replace to help replace the friends he has lost playing board games.

FOUNDER
Hash has always loved finding new ways to fuel his competitive spirit. He found that many board games offered satisfying opportunities to outwit his opponents. Hash co-founded Vilayat to help bring out that competitive spirit in everyone. Even though he loses to Shyam a lot, he still remains his friend....for now.
